Could this port go to a hub for USB data drives? Click to expand... Sure. I use one of the Thunderbolt2 ports on my 2013 Mac Pro to connect to a 4 drive RAID array. TB2 is 20 GB/s as opposed to 40 GB/s for TB3/4. Make sure the hub is TB2 compatible. USB only won't work. TB2 isn't as compatible with USB as TB3/4 are.
