Hey MBP 13’’ owners,

Are any of you using your 13’’ for (light) video editing in FCPX?
How is the performance compared to say an iMac or the 15’’?
Can it handle some 4K?

Thanks!

Please do a simple search prior to asking common questions. Yes, the 2017 13in was optimized for FCPX. 4K and all.

I used iMovie the other day to take a 48minute fHD clip recorded on my iPhone down into about 25 mins of the 'good content' which involved a lot of speeding up select parts, adding music, sound effects, titles and freeze frames. Smooth process. iMovie exported it on my 2017 MBP in less than 15 minutes?! I thought that was damn impressive compared to my Macs of old.

Silly question, but if it bothered you so much that you had to comment, why did you bother to come in at all? Are you the too many threads for that topic police?

Lol I find your post extremely ironic and I answered the OPs question.
