2017 MBP 13 NTB - Performance with external 4k monitor?

I’m considering upgrading my old Dell U2312M (24” 1920 x 1200), to a DELL U2720Q (27” 4k, USB-C)

My MBP Specs….

Mid 2017 13” NTB
2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, 512GB
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB

I mostly do software developement. I badly need some more screenspace when working with XCode, Android Studio, eclipse etc.

I’d be using the external 4k monitor along with the MBP screen open at the same time.

Would my MBP (with Iris Plus Graphics 640) be powerful enough to run an external 4k monitor without any sort of slowdown?

Would video playback at 4k be choppy?
