hey all,

Which would you say would have the better resale value? By “value” I’m referring to percentage retained at resale.

The 2.9/512, going off of history.

Upgraded models typically return a lower percentage of their new price, unless still current.

I air agree with Naimfan above, even then the difference will be too small to matter, get what you need and what you want.

worrying about resale value before you even purchase something is an exercise in futility, by the time you want to sell someone could have revolutionised the computer market and no one will want a mac at all.

Thanks a guys-on eBay the upgraded ones are reselling for the same price difference as the standard. Maybe things will change when the next generation comes along. I had though the higher spec model would warrant a higher return due to it being closer in power to what comes next, but I guess based on what you guys are saying history doesn’t show that to be the case.
