2017 MBP w/ TouchBar no longer unlocking with Apple Watch after upgrading to Series 3

I received my series 3 Apple Watch today and after getting everything set up, I went to preferences > security & privacy and then tried turning on "allow your Apple Watch to unlock this Mac" and was greeted with the below error.

Anyone else having this issue? If so, I'm assuming it'll be fixed upon the release of the new macOS.

I'm running the High Sierra GM on my 15" and I don't have any issues with my series 3 unlocking the notebook. Hopefully, the software release in couple of days takes care of your problem.

Series 3 requires High Sierra for unlock.

I had this issue, soon as I updated to High Sierra the unlock feature started to work fine again.
