So I'm going to the store after work to pick up either one of these and I was just curious as to which you'd get. I notice there's a sale on the 2018 15". The specs would be the following

2018 15" MBP

i7 6-Core 2.4ghz
16gb RAM
256GB SSD
AMD Radeon Pro 555X

2019 13" MBP

i5 2.4ghz
8gb Ram
512GB SSD
Intel Iris 655

I'll mostly be using it for simple things such as browsing the web, office and possibly use it in the future for coding bootcamp. Is the older model with the bigger screen, better ram and gpu worth it over the newer MBP? Are there many issues with the older MBP?

Do you need the 2.4GHz for the 13 inch? Other than having 4 TB ports, it’s not worth IMO. I would spend the difference on additional RAM.

I originally wanted to go for the 13" with 16gb ram, but that option is not available at best buy unfortunately.

I’m a Best Buy first shopper myself, but I feel that for your needs, I would just order one from Apple and take advantage of the discounts with the free Beats.

Ah. I was just trying to make use of my BB gift certificates and rewards.
