2018 2.3 MacBook Pro temperature

Is it normal that it gets warm in the bottom? If so how warm is it acceptable? Just by downloading about 400 pictures from my iCloud it got very warm. This is my first MB.

It's normal. If you're concerned about the temperatures in your MacBook Pro you can download an app to monitor the temps. I personally recommend iStat Menus which will show the temps and much more. Not free but well worth the cost.
