Anyone still rocking the 2018 Ipad Pro? It seems they really made this Ipad future proof (for many years at least), it still has features that not even the most recent Ipad Air has.

still super fast, runs every game i throw at it now problem and battery life is acceptable.

I had the 2018 iPad Pro, and that thing was a beast! The A12X chip is still running strong, and the display is gorgeous. Games? No problem. But, yeah, battery life could be better for heavy use, and the weight’s a bit much for long sessions. Still, for the price, it felt super future-proof for years. Wouldn’t upgrade unless I really needed new features!

Yep. I have an 11 inch 2018 Pro and a relative has the 12.9 inch. Both still working great. I want a larger screen for reading music and have been going back and forth between the M2 Pro or the M4 -- not that I need either, but since I am now used to the 2018 with a promotion screen and Face ID, I think I would miss them. Either way, I will still keep the 2018 and use it for its smaller, more portable form, for as long as I can.

I have (had) both sizes, 11" 1TB and 12.9" 512. The only real bottleneck was the 4GB RAM, just as much as the 2015 iPad pro... I sold my 12.9" because of that.
But the 1TB model has 6 and that is what the 2018 pro should have had. I kept that. No reloads compared to constant tab reloads on the 4GB model. No crashes on heavy stuff like video editing in Davinci, while the 4GB crashes as soon as you use advanced features.

Still very fast, to the point that I still use it regularly despite having the M1 and the M4.
To be honest even the 2017 pro is still fast (the first gen pro not so much however...)

I have the 2020 12.9 Pro, which I believe is pretty much the same as the 2018 version? Slightly updated chip perhaps? It mostly runs like a champ, except I’d started seeing a fair bit of lag when drawing using the Freeform app. That, and the fact I have a small but noticeable scratch on the screen are the only issues wrong with it.

The new iPad Airs are not an upgrade on this device, the M3 aside. And now the Pro is so expensive - not to mention that I’d also need a new keyboard and pencil to replace the ones I have now, which Apple has very handily obsoleted(!) means that I can’t imagine upgrading any time soon.

The 2020 has 50% more RAM than the 2018, and since I have has both sizes of RAM I can tell that it makes a big difference if you use a browsers regularly, especially if you use more than 1 tab. Processing speed instead is essentially the same between the 2 generations.

It’s still here. I had a 12.9 pro 2018 gave it to my sister (three owners within the family). It’s like a tv for her. Then have a 2018 11 pro. Gave it to family and they no longer needed and got it back. I use it as a secondary display for work and to read magazines on Libby.

The 11 in is starting to yellow on the sides of the display. It's still fairly light but I guess this iPad screen will degrade sooner than the processor ever becoming an issue.

I gave my 2018 iPP 11" to my mother when I upgraded to the 2020 12.9." She still uses it to this day. And my partner still uses my now older 2020 12.9." Other than some apps going a little slower now (my mother has been using Photomator on the 2018), both still run pretty well.

I’m still rocking the 2020 12.9” iPP (A12Z processor). I am lusting after the new 13” M4 iPP and the new Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro, but the reality is that I have zero justification for buying it. The 2020 iPP is still snappy and does everything I need very well.

I'm still running my 2018 IPP 11". it does fine. It and my iPhone 14 do not support Apple Intelligence but that's okay since I don't use it.
