2018, keyboard backlight not working

2018 MacBook Air.

Not only do the function keys not work anymore, keyboard settings have nothing about key illumination?

It was working before so unsure why it’s been totally wiped? Any ideas?

did you try a restart?

was an accident arrived (liquid on keyboard?)

If it's not liquid damage, and you are in Europe, I would go to the Apple store for you have 2 year consumer warranty, so they should help you out.

Restart doesn’t fix, OS up to date. No damage. “Lab tick” says no backlit keyboard found.

Unsure if that means it’s most likely hardware related then, there doesn’t seem to be too many other complaints around.
