I've got pretty ok hearing and when it's quiet in the room, I hear a really high "C" pitched squeal. I wasn't sure what was causing it, but it was super annoying.

I've got a Logitech G703 with PowerPlay mat on my Mini. Polling was set to 1000...I figured that might be overkill and tried 500. The noise ALMOST went away...it was most noticeable when moving the mouse very slowly. At 250 polls/second, the noise is gone. And my sanity is back. I can't really tell the difference between 250+, but I can tell that my mouse doesn't make my Mac Mini whine anymore. A Magic Touchpad or Apple mouse of course cause no coil whine noise from the Mini.

Oddness, but I figured I'd share with the forum for what it's worth.
