So I've used my MM 2018 i7/64GB for some time now. I like the machine but its glitchy:
  1. using the built in ports - USB and HDMI is just plain glitchy - sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't. I'm achieving the best stability by using a USB C Dock for any sort of USB connectivity. Sometimes I have to turn my machine completely off to get them going again. There seems to be some interference between devices plugged into them. You'd expect HDMI to be very stable, but I haven't found that to be the case.
  2. The bluetooth problems are evident as is the many many posts about this. Just not a powerful enough radio and inadequate shielding.
  3. This is the worst performing wifi of any Mac I've purchased, and I've had a number of them. I wish the M.2 card wasn't soldered on so I could replace it. I know its combination wifi/bluetooth.

The USB C/Thunderbolt ports - and the fact that there are 4 of them is the best thing about this unit. Will Big Sur fix these problems? Make them worse? Just venting and hoping Apple will address these issues in other Macs.

The HDMI port is glitchy.

Many of us have moved to TB3 to DisplayPort cables instead as a fix.

As for USB C, well my friends high-end MBP ports are also glitchy. My 2018 Mini's aren't though.
