Hey all
I’ve confirmed an issue on two 2018 units - one a 2.6 and one a 2.9. It has to do with sending attachments (or I think sending in general) in the Messages app on these machines. It either goes really slowly or seems to hang before sending after an incomprehensibly long time. I’m using one unit on Verizon Fiber with 500 megabit upload which translates to over 50 megabytes per second. The other machine is at a different location, also high bandwidth with the same issue. I have seen this behavior before when there is a wireless chipset/driver mismatch of some kind between the router and the Macs wireless sw/hw. This other time it was eventually fixed w a router firmware upgrade. I have not tried either machine yet over Ethernet for lack of the TB3 adapter.
To reproduce, own a 2018 MBP and try to send a decent sized image - maybe 700k/1.5mb and see if it hangs. Hows yours working?
If you test it, please let me know what brand and model youre using for a router.
