Hi guys,

I run into some trouble here and am curious if there are more people experiencing this. When, after using windows in Boot Camp, I boot back into macOS my keyboard and trackpad often don't respond. the only key that seems to be detected is the touchID. So my only way of booting into Mac from Windows Boot Camp is long pressing the touchID to force power-off, then go through a system recovery and then finally booting into macOS.

I was wondering if I am the only one experiencing this problem. If yes, then a problem with the MBR would be the logic reason for the error I think. If no, then this would be another Touch Bar/Boot Camp driver issue (there seem to be quite some more). Thanks for replying...

I have this problem too. I think others have posted about this problem in the BootCamp forum. The way around this is to shutdown from Windows instead of restarting.

My new MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) freezes at the login screen each time I restart from windows Boot Camp back to macOS.

Anyone else has this problem?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) (MacBookPro15,1)
2,6 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
512 SSD
Radeon Pro 560X

I have no idea what is causing this, T2 chip maybe? I can make it happen every time I want if I follow these steps:

- I'm in macOS, everything OK
- Startup disk control panel, restart in Windows boot camp
- Booted into Windows everything is ok
- restart back into macOS, both via Windows control panel and starting up with alt pressed
-> freeze at macOS login screen, I see user profiles, I see mouse cursor which can't move at all, no response from keyboard, no response from trackpad, no response from external usb mouse
- my only option is to force shut down keeping power button pressed for 5 seconds
- then I can restart again in macOS and everything works fine

P.S.: I don't have eGPUs or anything attached externally

I have to do a guaranteed force restart every time I switch from Windows to macOS (no problems when switching from macOS to Windows)
