2018 MacBook Pro - Resale

Hey all, just wondering what the resale value should be on my MacBook Pro that im trying to sale. I went cheap and should have gotten 1tb, but only got 512gb. I’ve looked around but no one really is selling the particular build that I have.

I have the 2018 15" MBP with Touch Bar obviously.
2.6ghz i7
512gb hard drive
32gb of ram.
560x
Doesn't have apple care on it..

Most people selling this Macbook has only 16gb of ram.

Ram is a fairly easy and inexpensive upgrade. Not sure if it adds that much value. But that’s a really nice computer

The re-sale value will fluctuate based on your location. Different cities and countries will see different price points.

Best thing is to check your local classifieds and see what folks are asking. Or search for closed listings on eBay.

I sold my base 2.2Ghz model for 1,800. I'd say probably the 2.6Ghz will go for a few hundred more. The 32GB of ram isn't really major feature that will push the prices up too much. I see some on Swappa for 2300 but that's the asking price, I think they're actually selling for less.

Yeah, you cant upgrade the ram.. When I bought the machine, I wasn't into photography and now that I am. I wish I had gotten a 1tb hard drive.. Im not a fan of pluggin in externals all day long. I know some stuff I can keep on one. But still..
Looking at upgrading to a new machine with Vega 20, 1tb, 32gb of ram.

When I listed mine, it reported that the selling rate was between 1,700 and 1,900, I got 1,800. You may do better on eBay and/or Craigslist

Yeah. I have mines on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace.. unfortunately I’m currently in lubbock tx.......
