Hey yall,
I've had this 2018 15inch MaBook (touchbar) for a while now, and I'm trying to grasp the desire for this/these things. I know for certain I may not be using the Macbook to its full potential in regards to all the short cuts and other options this thing provides besides being a basic laptop. My typical use is Youtube, web surfing and thats about as far as it goes. I use Word and Excel every now and then, but I honestly find the battery life to be embarrassing. Again, I don't do anything taxing on this computer and it flies through battery pretty quickly.
In addition, the ability to not even plug in a USB flash drive is a little odd, so I wonder if ya'll pay $20+ for those USB C flash drives that have a USB option on the other end. Just trivial stuff sort of annoy me on this device and I'm surprised it would. I've had the older model MacBook Pro with the USB drive and that got me through college and worked decently, but I guess for simple web browsing and Youtube videos, the device even lacks, primarily battery wise.
Am I doing something wrong with the device? Should it go from 100% to 0% in 3-4 hours of basic usage? Are there apps and shortcuts to make this device stick out compared to a HP laptop or a Dell XPS? I was considering trading this device in for the new Macbook Air because I wouldn't have to pay a dollar, but would gain a newer device with better battery and new keyboard thats actually usable.
