Our 2018 MBA will not boot up, and after troubleshooting with Apple tech support, it’s headed back for repair today.

This is the first Macbook that has failed us!

Hopefully they’ll repair with new parts, and quick turn around.

Oh well, it happens.

Sorry to hear this. Repairs usually are pretty fast. Did you have to send it in or did you drop it off at a store? Let us know what happens.

WildSky,….I decided sending it in was the quickest; dropped it off at FedEx yesterday, and it was delivered to the Apple repair facility in PA this morning.

I will provide updates.

This has happened to me on two previous macbook machines. However, those machines were six and eight years old and a very long time ago. It was the graphics card in my case if I remember correctly.

I've got to say Apple service is awesome. We called tech support last Thursday, and they diagnosed a bad logic board, and sent us a mailer box, which arrived Friday. We mailed it back Friday afternoon, and they received it on Saturday. The logic board, and fingerprint button/module were replaced the same day, and we received our UPS tracking number. Unfortunately, it was the 4th of July holiday weekend, and UPS did not pick it up until Tuesday; overnight shipping, and we received it back yesterday afternoon.
