Hiya, I am in need of a portable solution for working away from my office and although I have a 21.5 quad core 3.1 iMac at home, it is not as good as my 27” monitor and additional laptop screen that I would get from a MacBook
The main use is developing e-learning using Captivate but the created content is very video and graphic heavy
I will be doing very occasional and ligh5 Photoshop work and very very occasional video processing using Premiere Pro and after effects (nothing being output at over 1080)
Thinking of picking up a 2018 MBA and although the Pro is more powerful, I am certain it will be overkill for my needs and I’d rather not spend the extra if I don’t need to
Is the MBA likely to suffice? I’m tempted to take advantage of Apple’s extended returns period and try it out over the next few weeks.....this way if I find it is underpowered I can return it!
