So I have had 2018 MBA for little over 1yr30days.

Over the year there were times it would not turn on and then randomly start working again. I never took it to apple.

Last week it happened and would not turn on again.

I took it to Genius bar and they quoted me $500+ to fix it as it was a hard drive failure and out of warranty.
I took it to 3rd party and they are stating that it was a logic board failure.

I know there were articles stating that there was a recall and fix on those machines for free. Is apple lying to me so they don't have to pay for it? I am really bummed - what can I do to fix it? I really do not want to pay to fix it
