Hi, it's my first mac and i usually do rhino, grasshopper and 3d rendering with maxwell, photoshop, indesign..etc

2.2/32/555x/1tb vs 2.2/32/560x/512

Since i have to use windows with bootcamp, 512 seems little bit tight, but 1tb is insanely expensive that if i choose 1tb, i have to choose 555x because of my budget. Is it worth to upgrade 1tb ssd??

Certainly not an economic option. Could you make do with an external HDD or even SSD for some of your storage needs?

Depends on the reason for why 512GB is tight. if it is due to applications, then you have no choice but to go for 1TB. If it is due to a lot of saved content (and you don't frequently access said content), an external drive could make sense (which could also act as your time machine back up).

Thank you for opinion! I'm considering NAS or dropbox for backup and samsung t5 for working files

I would use something like Backblaze for backups, not Dropbox, especially if you keep working files on an external SSD or HDD (it will also backup external drives).

Either you are fine with working within 512GB and using an external for additional space or you aren't.

That's your decision: how much hassle and annoyance would it be to you and how much is it worth to you to avoid that?

Only you can answer those questions, really. I know what *my* answer would be, but have no way to know if it applies to your situation.
