I currently own 4 Macs, plus various iPhones, iPads, etc. For all of these Apple-thingies, I purchased new, not refurb.

Yesterday, I bought my first ever Apple Certified refurb: the 2018 15" base model (i7, 16GB, 256GB). My local MicroCenter had it for $1595 ($800 off), and because I've never owned a 15" MacBook before, I just got too tempted to try one :)

So far, my experience has been great. The laptop is absolutely flawless cosmetically. It shows 9 cycles on the battery, but is otherwise indistinguishable from brand new. For $800 savings, I couldn't be happier :D

Great but I was thinking from Apple should have less issues with the keyboard for example vs B&H it's the same price http://tinyurl.com/ydfw3ahh ?
Thanks

I see it but pick up only and I live in FL
Thanks

Currently, in microcenter, there is an offer for exactly the same specification, 2018 15" MBP 512GB, for $1999. It's also Apple certified refurbished.
[doublepost=1556385749][/doublepost]I don't but I'm just thinking since it's sold from Apple they do good inspection
Thanks

Not sure why you think that buying one from Apple will be any different regarding the keyboard vs. buying one from B&H?

Refurbished all the way. But only if it's from Apple, because their's are indistinguishable from brand new ones.

Seconded.

Even is the new one is the same price?
Thanks

Obviously if they're the same price the newer unit makes more sense.
Same if the refurb is more expensive than the new one. Then it makes sense to buy the new one over the refurb too.

If it’s “Apple Certified Refurbished” (like these from Microcenter it doesn’t matter if it comes straight from Apple or the retailer. It’s the same sealed box.

microcenter.com got the same specs for $2000 but pickup only no delivery to FL

I guess then not, but their refurbs are usually cheaper than brand new. I'm sure you will find a stealth deal.

I picked up one 2018 15" base model two days ago, and returned it today, due to keyboard failure. The number 9 key got stuck somehow and will not register without enough pressure. This happened one day after the pick up, so I was worried about future failure of this keyboard and return it without hesitation.

Thanks for your input
