Just wondering if the 2018 owners have been experiencing the monitor rattle that was happening in the 2016/17 models? Something to do with the adhesive coming loose, and clicking noises when lightly shaking the machine left and right? I've had this issue on both '16 and '17 models and.. while it's not a huge deal, per se, the nuisance on a ~$5K machine is a tad annoying.

In before: "why are you shaking your MacBook anyways"?

Yep, and it’s been there since way further back than 2016. It’s also in the MacBook. It’s nothing to do with any adhesive coming loose, though.

What do you reckon is the reason?

Things I don't shake.
Babies
nearly 3,000 dollar laptops.

I have no idea if my laptop has a rattle or not, and I'm not about to shake it to find out. My normal day to day usage, and travel has not produced any odd sounds, and I'm not going to shake it to force the issue.
I did this in my 2017 MBP, then immediately thought, “what the hell am I doing to my brand new laptop?” and stopped trying all the crazy things that get posted in this forum LOL.

(No, it didn’t rattle :p)

As annoying as it might be (not much, honestly...), any MBP produced in the last few years is prone to doing it eventually, so no point in shaking it to check. I'm not going to do so on mine, at least.

You're not a pro user then ;)

Have you visited a library and pressed every key 10 times to make sure one isn't louder than the others? While in the same library have you used a microphone to detect coil whine? Have you been over the case forensically with a microscope to look for imperfections or hid in a darkroom to look for light bleed? Have you bought a 13" then taken it back to get a 15" then taken it back to get a 13" in a different colour then taken it back to get a 15" with a different SSD?

If not, then I don't know what you do with your Mac but it isn't serious usage.
