So I gave my 2018 MacBook Pro (15") to Apple Store for repairs, as I was having double-press problems with the keyboard. I got it back last night, first of all, which really pissed me off, is that they put a sticker on the bottom casing and the Genius told me to "clean it with water, and it'll go away" It's so weird, this shouldn't be the customer service Apple should be offering. (To be fair, I went there around 20 minutes before they closed as I really needed my computer, I literally went 10 minutes after I got the e-mail saying my MacBook was ready for pick up) Anyways, this wasn't a big deal.
I just realized that the Touch ID button isn't fixed. It moves in its casing, and is very annoying to me because it's not aligned to the touch bar. It might not seem like a big deal, and honestly it isn't a huge deal, but it sucks and when I give something to Apple for repair I expect it to be done properly.
I'm not sure whether it was like this before I gave it to Apple, but I really doubt it.
I just checked the photos I took when I first got the computer, and the button is perfectly aligned to the touch bar.
Has anyone else experienced this?

If you not happy, why not just take it back.

FWIW, mine is looks well aligned. But I have never had any work done on mine, or even checked alignment before your post.

I'm currently at the Apple Store, but I really can't afford to wait another 5 business days.

That would bug the hell out of me if it were mine. It looks loose and misaligned. It wasn’t like that when you bought it, it shouldn’t be like that now. I am glad you took it back. Hopefully you won’t have to be without your computer for as long to get it right.

Oh, tell me about it. I didn't see it when I first got it, but once I did, I couldn't unsee it.
Genius first told me it might take 3-5 business days and I told him I simply can't afford not having my computer for another week. Once he realized I picked up the computer less than 24 hours ago, he talked to someone and told me they'd change the touch bar board (apparently they order one of these as well when they change the bottom case) and it'd be ready in 24 hours maximum. So hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow.
I have a PC at home and I can use it to work/study, but on weekdays I travel a lot and I need it for work/uni. Hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow.
PS: It was nice that even if I walked in for an appointment, I only waited 5 minutes.

Hopefully back tomorrow and hopefully with the button solidly in place and properly aligned. Best of luck to you and at least you have a plan B computer in the meantime :)

"Your pressing it wrong" :D

I was really afraid they'd told me it's normal, and it would honestly piss me off. I was already quite frustrated when I went back to Apple Store, but they handled the situation pretty well and I picked it up this morning.
Seems like it's working fine and that the button doesn't wiggle.

Good I'm glad they fixed it for you as they should have anyways. I cannot believe they didn't see that though its so obvious.

Thanks! I know, I'm pretty sure they checked whether it actually works which it does, but it is weird how they missed it. This Apple Store is quite crowded and I think they're pretty busy, it might be the reason.

Could be for sure.
