Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the 2018 release of the ntb MacBook pro?

I'm still rocking my mid-2012 classic MacBook Pro, but for years I've been envious of that beautiful retina display. Now I'm no power user, but I do some light photo/video editing when I've got time. I'm still inclined for the 13" format since I travel a lot still and wanted to get the ntb MacBook pro, but I can't justify buying something that should be quad-core compared to its competitors. Anyone else holding out for this MacBook?

My current set up is i5 2.5ghz, 16gb ram with 512gb ssd.

If I had to guess, I'd say the 13-inch MacBook Pro "Escape" non-touch bar model is pretty much dead. It's going to be discontinued when Apple announces rumored 13-inch "MacBook" this fall. I suspect that the 12-inch MacBook is going to be put out to pasture as well.

If that's the case, that's a real shame as there is nothing wrong with the current design bar not having an sd card port. I wonder if this will continue the trend of using a quadcore processor
