Just looking at the 2018's display support:

Up to three displays:Two displays with 4096x2304 resolution at 60Hz connected via Thunderbolt 3 plus one display with 4096x2160 resolution at 60Hz connected via HDMI 2.0

Is that a hard limit of 2 displays total on TB ports, or can you drive more displays on TB if they're lower resolution? For example, if you don't want to use HDMI at all.
