Hey all,
Sorry another one of those can you check this that and the other thing for me.
i’m thinking of getting a MBP for the requirements below. There is some good Black Friday deals about, plus the Apple refurbished store has a 13.3” pro with Touch Bar for around £1100 which is cheap. It’s also a July 2019 version so I’m hoping it’s got the fixed keyboard.
I have a new iPad Pro that I’d likely use as a second screen.
I’m really tempted to try a bit of iOS coding for fun. I have no experience and this won’t be for a career so I don’t think my processing requirements are high.
I could afford the new 16” pro but I think it’s OTT for my needs, plus I prefer the existing keyboard to type on having Tried both. The MBA looks good but I prefer the looks of the pro, plus the pro has more grunt under the hood.
- Light gaming (CS:GO at best)
- light iOS app dev
- web browsing
I won’t be doing any video editing or photo editing. I won’t watch Netflix on it.
Is the Touch Bar a complete gimmick or actually useful? It looks cool but I’m not sure if it’s actually of any use?
Thoughts are appreciated
