I'd like to buy a used 2019 16" Intel MBP for a family member. The use case would be the following: 10-15 Chrome tabs some of which would be stock charts and YouTube videos, mail app and not much else. Would the base model with the i7, 16GB or RAM and 5300M be sufficient for this use? Which spec would you recommend? Is the 5500M and 5600M necessary for this use case? I'd like to spend no more than $2400. Thanks

The base model 16" would be plenty for your use case. The only time the 5500/5600M would come into play is if you were doing intensive photo editing/rendering/exporting.

yes, it will be awesome, but only if Apple won't brake the last fix from 12.3 :D

Base model is fine as long as you don't connect to external monitor which then the machine will be a lap toaster. I just upgraded mine from 5500m to 5600m and it's a bliss.
