You still need to buy accessories for your “professional” machine in 2019 in order to make it work.

C'mon, cheap shots are for the weak minded. Everything requires accessories. Every time I buy something I need something else to go with it. I bought a TV, then had to buy a wall mount. I bought a car and then had to buy a garage to put it in, wax to keep it shiny, jumper cables, etc., I bought and iPhone and had to buy a case to keep it safe and a screen cover to keep it from getting cracked and scratched... you get the idea. Dig deeper UBS28, there must be a worthwhile topic in you somewhere.

Yeah, what's the big deal here? You don't have to but most of use to choose to (ie. USB-C to USB Dongle, USB-C to ethernet dongle), it's a matter of what you need. you don't like it? switch to some other laptop.

I'd say no, but you seem to imply you have too. By the way, I've purchased accessories for my computer since before the IBM PC days, so needing to purchase something else beside the computer is not new, nor is it a negative ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you talking about dongles/USB-C peripherals? Is there anything else that isn't standard fare for laptops? It should work right out of the box.
