Hi guys,

I have WFH setup with dell docking station USB C connected to my work windows laptop. What is the easiest way to use this setup for my 2019 mac pro? I know I can unplug all and connected one by one to the mac pro, I'm looking for other alternatives with minimal hassle if possible.

You want to plug a 20kg workstation into a dock for a laptop, and run all of its I/O through a single cable?

What all is connected to the dock?

Move printer and scanner to network connections, and share between desktop & laptop over your LAN. Use separate mouse & monitor for the Mac Pro. Leave the dock with the laptop.

Basically just the dual monitor, keyboard & mouse. The monitors are using display port. I can use separate mouse & keyboard for the mac pro, however I prefer not to move the monitors. Is there any other way beside unplugging the display port from the dock + plug it in to the macpro everytime?

If you're determined to share the monitors, use a displayport switch. Or a KVM displayport switch to share monitors + keyboard + mouse.

By "dual monitor", do you mean one external monitor + labtop built-in? Or dual externals? If it's dual externals, you'll need a more expensive dual-displayport switch. Or two switches.

If your monitor(s) have multiple inputs, you could connect both computers to the monitors. Then switch via the monitor controls.
