Hey all, just got my significant other a refurb 2019 MacBook Pro i9 with the radon graphics

Before she does anything with it I’d like to reinstall the OS and bios, is there a good way to do this, or a order in which I should do this?

Also any need to know things with this laptop? She had one before and really liked the Touch Bar, hopefully this one will serve her well

Thanks

As far as I know, Macs these days use UEFI (as opposed to BIOS), and Apple doesn't allow users to access UEFI. So reinstalling the UEFI is not really a thing.
Since the Mac has a T2 security chip, I believe the way to erase it is to use the Erase Assistant (Settings > General > "Transfer or Reset" > Erase All Content and Settings) I assume the Mac comes already erased which would mean you might set up a temporary account (skipping iCloud and Apple ID, etc.) in order to use the Erase Assistant and erase it immediately. Hope this helps, and hope she likes the new MacBook Pro.
