Well, Apple dropped the ball on the 2018 Thanksgiving Day challenge and they sent the 2018 New Years Challenge on 12/28/18. It’s now 12/31 and nothing has arrived.

Is Apple going to drop the New Years ball????

Ughhh, I loathe the absence of these once fun special challenges. Disappointed in Apple and their Apple Watch/Actvitiy antics and lack there of as of late.

My activity awards are STILL two days behind!!
Mine are half and half. Still waiting on perfect move and perfect exercise week awards, but I have the stand and all activities.

Yeah, I've pretty much given up on the AW activity challenges as they are pretty buggy and rarely work properly. I finished my December challenge a couple days ago (currently at 239.9 km of a required 229.4 km required to complete the challenge) and it still hasn't been awarded. I also was awarded my 2018 Ring in the New Year Challenge in December 2017...

My New Year's Resolution is to stop using the highly flawed AW activity app until Apple fixes it. I just received by January challenge. Apple wants me to to walk or run 330 miles. I already average 200 miles a month — now I'm supposed to increase that by more than 50 percent?

Bicycle? I don't know. That is quite the increase.

Speaking of the new year. Did anyone see the fireworks on their Apple watch. At midnight it had a fireworks display!!

The New Years Day challenge ought to be “stand up before noon.” :D

I got the notification a few seconds before midnight, but you can swipe down for notifications and replay the fireworks.

Apple clearly dropped the ball for a while in term of software bugs they takes ages to fix it. iOS 12 and watchOS 5 have minor but very irritating bugs on my hands they still don't fix. Still no new year challenge as well, still new awards takes 2-3 days to show etc. Its like Apple don't care a lot for their Watch and Activity app.

Got my first watch last December and super excited for my first new year challenge and .......

You may want to manually check your activity app under the awards tab to take a peek...Apple used to send notifications about these challenges but they that was so 2018 :eek:o_O

I didn’t get a notification at all about the January challenge. I happened to go in the activity app under awards and saw it. All I have to do is reach my daily exercise goal 4 times this month and I already completed day 1 today.

Still nothing. I’m so pissed off.

The funny thing is the activity app have more and more bugs as the year passes. Everything worked relatively well when I got my watch, and now its completely buggy.
