I work for a small company and handle my own technology swaps/purchases. Outside of work (web, email, dropbox, etc) I do work in PS and Lightroom for editing some pics. My current 13" MBP (2.8ghz I7 with 256) runs loud and hot and the battery life sucks.

I don't need a mac daddy 14" or 16" but curious how different the 13" MBP with the M1 from 2020 (still on Apple's site) performs against the 14" MBP with the M1 Pro. This machine is a travel-only machine as my main setup is much beefier at home for edits.

I went 14" - wow, what a great machine. A little less compact than I am used to but it's gorgeous.

Go for the 14 if you can. Might as well just get the extra power if your budget allows. Just got mine this past Thursday and its fantastic.

My travel machine is the same as yours: MBP 13 with 2.8 GHz i7 (2019). I also use it around the house, though have a more powerful main MBP attached to a couple of monitors. The MBP 13 does tend to run warmer than I'd like and the battery life isn't great. I was also debating if I should get the MBP 13 M1, but don't like that it only has 2 USB-C ports. I'm currently waiting for my MBP 14 to be delivered. Glad to hear you like yours!
