Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I've owned several MBPs over the years including a 2016 and 2018 model. I use my laptop heavily for work but it's really just Office apps and multiple browser windows, no video editing or anything. I absolutely hate my current 2018 13" MBP. The keyboard is terrible and it just feels slow with basic tasks. I have the model that was $1999 at the time - i5/8gb/512 w/TB. With today's release, I'm glad they fixed the keyboad but the lack of a 14" screen definitely sucks. I'd like to upgrade really for the keyboard and speed. Do y'all think the $1799 model with 16gb of RAM will feel significantly faster? I plan on returning to school in the fall for computer science. Do y'all think this upgrade is worth it or should I be considering a 16"?

Both of the Pro 16"s are no brainers for their' price points. And both are better than any 13 Pro would ever be. The only problems is the price and size.

If 2018 Pro 13 is slow for you, then this update will be no better. Something is wrong with your laptop(needs clean MacOS install?!) or you just want to upgrade your laptop for new and shiny one?
There is no obvious reason for your laptop to be slow. For your workloads, even Air 2017 or rMBP 13 2012 shouldn't be slow.
I mean really, there is no difference at Office suit and web browsing across all of the current MBPs and old ones.

A clean install would probably fix the issue of the machine feeling slow but I was hoping an upgrade to 16gb of RAM would help. I have quite a few windows open at once.... Outlook, multiple Excel workbooks, tons of Chrome tabs. And the main reason is the keyboard. I do a lot of typing and cannot stand the butterfly keyboard. Would an Air with 16gb RAM be a better option?
