I purchased a 13” 2016 Touch Bar at launch and read all the NTB lower end MBP posts on how they had better battery life, better single core performance and a better buy. Then I’m in the new MBA forum because I had a new MBA i5 on order till yesterday when I cancelled an ordered a 2020 13” 8th Gen 16/256. In the MBA forum it was the i3’s claiming victory for heat and everyday use.

it’s ironic that I ordered the new TB version that is an update from the NTB version. I finally get the single fan and 2 USB-C Ports I been longing for.

So I’m here to tell you i5 and i7 Gen 10 purchasers, I got the better machine. It’s cooler, it’s faster on short bursts, it’s battery life is 2 days......Let you know, you wish you made the smartest choice possible like I did.

Have a nice day Gen 10 and remember, you have a 14 day return window!

"it’s battery life is 2 days" means nothing. My 2012 MBP hasn't been plugged in for 2 months and it's still at 48% battery. I raise your 2 day battery life to 4 months.

Edit: Sorry if this sounded mean it was supposed to be a joke. I've had 5 margaritas.

I am glad you found the machine right for you! Personally, I am excited to try out my Gen 10 i7. One factor is the higher speed RAM at 32GB. If it doesn’t work out for me, I will definitely utilize the return policy. Don’t even want to contemplate going down that road at the moment, but if it comes to that, I would be inclined to get the current 16” (or wait for a 2020 refresh).
