2020 Intel MBA YouTube issue

I've been having this issue intermittently for a few weeks now, I'm playing a YouTube video and my MBA just completely locks up, can't click on anything and none of the keys work, but the video's audio keeps playing. After a minute or so my MacBook reboots. It happens maybe 2-3 times a week and I'm at a loss as to why it's happening. It only happens when playing YouTube videos, my laptop works fine otherwise. I'm on Monterey 12.0.1 and Safari 15.1. I'm not sure if it's a Safari issue, I'm thinking of installing Chrome to see if the same thing happens on there. just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this?
