2020 Mac in 2012 13" Macbook Pro Chassis

Why can't Apple make us this laptop? They could fit a 14"-14.5" screen into this thing considering its massive bezels, they could add some serious hardware, cooling and perhaps a 99-watt-hour battery in it as well. Maybe it wouldn't reach Macbook Air levels of portability due to being inch thick and weighing over 4 pounds but who cares, it would a proper Pro machine and potentially a very popular laptop.

I mean, the new 16" and the upcoming 13" will likely be all the things in OP's post but with a better looking design.

We've had the "Apple fails design over functionality and show go back to functionality" talk multiple times, but what OP is suggesting is to re-outdate the MacBook Pro.
