2020 Mac mini w Samsung T-5 External SSD

Currently I have the external Samsung T-5 2TB SSD attached to my 2012 Mac Mini with the home folder moved over to it.

If I purchase the 2020 Mac mini, will I still be able to use the T-5? On the box for the T-5 it says the two included cables are "USB 3.1, Type C - C" and a "USB 3.1 Type C - Type A cable that supports USB 3.1 Gen 2".

Will either of these cables work on the 2020 Thunderbolt/USB 4 port or do I need to purchase another SSD or an adapter/dock?

I don't do anything difficult for the computer.... surf, email, Word docs, simple Excel spreadsheets and photo editing using Photos' software.

You should be fine with either of those cables (usb-A is sufficient for T5 speeds), with a caveat:
