Just watching a YouTube Video of gentleman critiquing 2020 Macbook Air, and do not understand the keyboard I am seeing in his video. Am going to try to add a link to it here:
. I am specifically speaking of the enter/return key which is shown at about 6:40. This doesn't look like the keyboard shown in Apple Store for the 2020 Macbook Air. Doesn't even look like the IBM enter/return key (at least to me). What is it?

Yep mine looks the same (UK)

What does the US one look like?

The | \ key sits above the return key.

Interesting! Spent three years at a NATO headquarters staff in Napoli (home of Olivetti) and don't remember a keyboard like that. But that was in the early 70s and we only had typewriters, no computers.

I think I prefer the way it is on mine.

Do you guys never hit the shift key accidentally? that would drive me mad.

We tend to prefer what we're used to using. :D

As for inadvertently hitting the shift key, that's never been an issue I've noticed.

I have never accidentally hit the shift key lol,

I also never use the shift key on the right hand side either.

If you're hot for this keyboard, the on-line Apple store will allow you to specify a UK English-language ("British") keyboard, as well as keyboards for all the major European languages, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and both major streams of Chinese (pinyin and zhuyin).
