I recently purchased a Samsung 27" 4K display with USB-C that I planned on using primary for my work from home setup, but also use with my 2020 MacBook Air (non-M1).
When I connect the USB-C cable to my Air, it powers the device, obviously displays the image on the screen and can detect both my Blue Yeti microphone and Logitech webcam. What it is not detecting is the monitors speakers as an output device.
FWIW, my work laptop (Windows) also detects all of those devices in addition to being able to output audio through the monitor.
This is the monitor I'm using. macOS detects it as simply DisplayPort when I have it plugged in to either of my Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports.
Am I over looking something to have audio output to the monitor?
