Hello, I did a search and didn't see any complaints of this. Every once in awhile my LG Ultrafine 4K Monitor turns off and back on. Was wondering if anyone else experiences this randomly and occasionally, and if it's possibly a software issue that could be fixed in a future update? Thanks in advance.

Hi, although i did not experience the exact same behaviour, my USB C monitor did not recognise my MBP 2020 on first try. I had to shut it down completely for several seconds for it to function properly. Before that it did constantly turn on and off but rapidly. Do you connect the ultrafine only via USB C?
Greetings.

I have the same issue with my Dell 2720Q 4K UHD monitors (I have two of them) that run over USB-C as well. Its very infrequent.

Thank you for the reply. It did happen more frequently at first, I did the restart and ran the LG software and it happens much less now. I used USB-C

Thanks, I am hoping it is a software issue that can be resolved in an update. Doesn't happen often, but not great when it happens during a conference call.

It could also be something with the power management with your display?! Mine has the option to turn off Power and Data through USB C when going into standby (HP Z32). Maybe there is some ill behavior with yours?

You're not using the original power supply for the macbook. You are likely powering it off of the monitor, or using an aftermarket power supply.
