2020 Macbook Pro/Air advice?

I am looking to get a 13" Mac laptop of some kind, however, I'm not sure which model, Air, Pro, specs would be right.

Uses:

• Web (lot o' tabs), email, some document editing
• Light photography use
• Occasional video creation (cycling videos - iMovie, Garmin VirbEdit) - typically 10 minutes or less

Also:

• I tend to hold onto my machines until they either don't run the latest OS or if the latest OS makes it run slower than molasses on a cold January morning in Montana. Thus, while I don't want to overspend now, I also don't want to cheap-out to the point where it costs me in needing to upgrade sooner than otherwise necessary.
• I tend to store important stuff in external drives/iCloud.
