2020 MBP headphone port

I thought my port was broken when I was streaming music via Qobuz and my headphones connected to the port. Music would still come out the external speakers despite the headphones plugged in. It works with Spotify and Apple Music. I was disappointed that I can’t use the usb-c port connected to the Apple multiport adaptor which is then connected to my Audioquest dragonfly and headphones. Has anyone had this same problem? TIA.
