Received my 2021 16" M1 Max MBP 32 Core, 64 GB and 2 TB SSD several days ago.
I am sitting here working in Apple Motion for about 1.5 hours creating a new introduction. It still has over 11 hours of battery life and only ever so lightly warm to the touch.
I use Davinci Resolve to edit videos from a FujiFilm X-T3 UHD H.265 4.2.0. In the past with my 2016 MBP, I had to create optimized ProRes to edit files that took up lots of SSD space. Not any more. I can easily scrub though a video without taking the time to optimize and use up SSD. This machine is completely silent.
I work in a recliner. In the past, when editing audio I would have to first connect an audio interface to use my 250 ohm Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro headphones. Now, I just plug them into headphone jack. They work great.
As for display calibration for YouTube videos, I have selected HDTV BT.709. Colors seem right on. I may want to revisit this in the future and fine tune the calibration with a hardware calibrator. But for now, this seems more than good enough.
Apple thought of almost everything. This computer is an absolute pleasure to use. I still can not believe Apple created such a fabulous machine.
