I have been testing my wifi on my new 16in M1Pro(16gb/1TB).

I use Ookla speedtest for evaluation. I have a Google MESH network(AC 2200) with Frontier Fiberoptic internet service(500/500). Using Google home app -->router is getting the 500Mbps download and 490Mbps upload speeds

I can sit 3 ft from the Google router and max speed the M1Pro will reach is 180-200Mbps using the ookla website via safari with no VPN and firewall is off in Apple system preferences. My 12ProMax using the ookla app will reach 490-500Mbps sitting in the same place. Both devices are using Frontier Tampa server.

I would expect similar speeds for internet performance. Am I missing something with this expectation. Are there wifi settings on the laptop I need to change?

any thoughts would be appreciated.
