Every time there is a power outage in the area that forces my Wi-fi router to reboot, my iMac can no longer connect to my Epson printer. (The iMac and the printer were turned off before the power outage took place.) Turning the Mac on and off and the printer on and off does not help. This problem does not affect my 2017 MacBook, just my iMac. The only solution I have found is to uninstall and then reinstall the printer software on the iMac. (There is an uninstall app included with the Epson software.) Reinstalling my printer software all the time is getting old, but I don't know what else to try.

Can’t answer exactly, but my Brother laser printer has crappy wifi. It will drop connection at least once a day and the only way to get it back is to power the printer off and back on. The solution for me was to connect the printer to my ethernet network. Stays constantly connected now, even if the device printing to it is on wifi itself.
