Can anyone confirm for me whether a Docking Station can power 2 external monitors through a single USB-C/Thunderbolt connection to the M1pro/max MBPs or not?

I’ll admit this is a highly specific question, but its one I’ve had as I’m planning for and getting accessories for my new 14 M1pro MBP I ordered. I still have a few weeks for it to arrive, and my monitors are only 1080p (for now), I just want only 1 cable connecting my notebook to my setup on my desk, lol

I'm kind of in the same boat.
Just got a new 14" MBP, which will be my everything computer (both my mobile device as well as replacing my dinosaur 24" iMac).
So docking (preferably into one cable) into a pair of 27" Dell P2719H displays, along with other periphery, is the goal. My monitors are not 4k or anything, just 1080p HD, but I own them so there's that.lol.

I connected my 14" MBP last night, ran a generic Youtube HDR clip, and they've never looked so stunning. Stunning.
So, for someone (i'd wager to say most creators) who edits photos and video, all of which end's up on an iphone display, compressed by Instagram or Youtube's processing, I'm happy for now.

So far what i've found to be what I think I'll be getting (once back in stock) is the Thunderbolt 4 Caldigit Element hub.

This guy breaks it down nicely:

Either that one or the Caldigit TS3+.

But I've been out of the game for a long time, so I'm also interested to see what others suggest; especially with what works best connectivity wise with M1 machines, as I've seen some docks/hubs cause M1 Air and MBP issues?

I was just looking at the Caldigit website at their docks, and noticed they had this article posted:

Caldigit Docks and Apple M1 Pro/M1 Max Compatibility

It may answer both of our questions!

It would be nice to hear from those who may have real world confirmation of this also.

Looks like a great hub, but with 60 watts of juice, it won't work for the new 16" Macbook Pro.
