Hi,

With the rumor mill pretty much confirming a new 13-14 inch MacBook Pro next year I was just wondering if there were any rumors about the actual footprint of the new MacBook?

Specifically I'm hoping it get's a bit thinner and lighter but that's just a hope on my part...I currently have a 2018 MacBook Air but if the new MacBook Pro comes out with a killer design I'd most likely upgrade. Just wondering if anyone on here had heard anything? Despite my hopes hear I'm guessing it'll be pretty similar to the current MacBook Pro 13 form factor but just with a slightly wider screen with smaller bezels. I hope I'm wrong though :)

MBA will be lighter for sure

MBP 14” can go a little bit lighter if mini Led is really energy efficient (less weight from battery)

Apple is always criticized for going thinner/lighter instead of battery life. But Apple Silicon is so energy efficient (and future chips maybe more so) that going with a new design and smaller batteries is a safe bet (not sure bet though)

14" MBP would be intriguing but I dunno... my 10th gen early 2020 does everything I need.

TBH, I use a Chromebook more often these days. When heavy lifting/high performance is not required, I'm in yada yada mode participating in work calls/online meetings, deleting/filtering the deluge of worthless e-mail messages that invade my inbox, ...).
