I run a two Mac system - laptop and home “work from home” desktop. I don’t need anything more than 24” for now but I will consider options. I am likely ordering a 24 GB RAM, 1 TB storage model tomorrow.

- 24GB unified memory

- 1TB SSD storage
waiting untill a custom build one can be pickup at a store, I am never home for UPS and they will not leave it unless signed for

I'm thinking of ordering one to replace my 2012 iMac. Can't decide on whether to go for 24GB over 16GB or not. 16GB will be more than enough for my needs along with 1TB storage, so perhaps not worth wasting an extra £200 on the RAM.
With the base M3 benchmarks coming out, not sure if I really need 24GB - 16GB seems enough when single core performance is double the M1, and multicore performance is comparable to the M1 Pro and Max...

So I was able to save the price from 16 to 24 GB (the discount corresponds to the additional cost of an additional 8GB of RAM)

Delivery date November 14-16.

Got a Purple M3/16GB/512GB coming November 7th. I've set up a few M1 iMac's for customers but excited to have my own.
Finally pulled the trigger.
I went for a silver M3/1TB/24GB config. Estimated delivery 20-22 November.

I am pleased to see that like me, many of you are switching to the new iMac M3 from the 2012-2013 iMac!
I am switching from the 2021 M1 iMac to the new M3 one. Not that I need the faster processor but when the M1 was released I read a lot about how well it handled RAM and that for my purposes 8GB of RAM should suffice. And when running apps (including Pixelmator Pro, etc.) on the Mac side they all run great. But I also use Parallels to run Windows 11 and Parallels will only allocate half the RAM (or 4GB) to the Windows 11 VM. It runs pretty good but some programs - especially some games - drag. So I held off for the M3 version and got 16GB of RAM this time. I assume that even things like Apple Photos, Pixelmator PRO and Photomator will run better on the Mac side of things.
I also ordered the M3, coming from a 2017 iMac. Mine says delivery between November 29-December 6...Do you guys think it will be earlier?

What configuration did you order? Certainly on the one hand there are limited stocks, here is also the launch after 7 days, on the other I believe there is also a decent demand, especially for us who come from Intel and who have no intention of giving up the All-in-One.
It seems that those who choose 24GB of RAM and/or 2TB SSD now will take 3-4 weeks to deliver. I think it also depends on the country where you order. Be patient like me and you will be happy!
