204 Mac Mini fan work in 2012 Mac Mini?

204 Mac Mini fan work in 2012 Mac Mini? According to iFixit the new fan is quieter and better than the older models.

Isn't it the same as the 2012 model? That one had a new "assymetrical fan", which differred from the earlier models.
I know, because I took the 2012 mini's fan and put in my 2010 mini...not sure there's any audible difference though.

The fan for both the 2012 and 2014 are the same part number in Apple's system.
