To celebrate the surfeit of polls being created at the moment, I thought 'why not poll everyone on how they feel about polls?'

So I bring to you the poll on polls. Don't say you weren't asked. ;)

i like the polls that matter , but not the ones asking what i had for lunch that day :D

EDIT : I'm loving your new avatar there SilentPanda

I hate alll the polls. I wish they'd go away... MR was better without them.

Edit: I have to try to win best avatar this year! Unless my winning last year makes me inelligible.

Well if the thread is a poll on what you think about polls, shouldn't it be a poll?

Polls are definitely warranted in a lot of situations to get an accurate representation of opinions without having to read thousands of people's life stories, but come on guys... some of them are pretty crazy...

Meh... some are interesting, some not so much. Does that keep me from responding to them? Hmm....

To BV's credit that last poll done 3.5 years ago is so out of date... :D

Doing your best Peter Snow impression? ;)
I actually hadn't noticed there were more polls than usual - I tend to ignore them most of the time.
It's a male thing - the desire to list anything in order of importance, no matter how trivial :p

Finally! There are poll options. I'm pleased to visit the Gdansk shipyards this time of year. Not too keen on Glossy Black, I prefer Satin Black.

I voted for all the options because I didn't want any of them to feel unloved.

When it comes to the Buying Advice forums, I actually think polls can be a better way of answering a thread rather than having the same posts reiterated countless times. Okay, not countless times because vBulletin makes it very easy to work out the number of replies in a thread, but you get the idea. :)

I'm just being the Devil's advocate though.

It's a multiple choice poll. For extra long-lasting freshness.

I didn't know we had an option for multiple-choice polls...learn something new every day, I guess.:D

I voted for two contradictory answer choices because I didn't realize that clicking a second choice didn't deselect the first one. Anyway, I don't mind the polls - I think they're kind of fun.

I search for the proper word for this thread...what do you call it when irony betrays itself?

I do always like my velvet blue, however...

There's absolutely nothing wrong with them.

Polls are great.....ish.

I voted Gdansk...because who needs to talk about polls or lunch when you could talk about Gdansk?!

yo gdansk is seriously the best city in the world so of course you should talk about it!
