You need to use a VNC session over a network. A nifty utility called Screen Recycler does that in conjunction with a VNC client like JollysFastVNC. http://www.screenrecycler.com/home.html Their video is impressive (but they used a direct ethernet connection, not a LAN). Anyway, you can apparently try it for free.
