can we use iMac's monitor as external monitor?

Hi,

I have a iMac intel and I was wondering if I can user iMac's monitor as external monitor for another desktop machine. Is this possible?

Now you can.

You need to use a VNC session over a network. A nifty utility called Screen Recycler does that in conjunction with a VNC client like JollysFastVNC.

Their video is impressive (but they used a direct ethernet connection, not a LAN). Anyway, you can apparently try it for free.
